Roger Federer

Parents of Roger Federer decided to instill in their son a love of sport at an early age. So already at the age of three, the child picked up a tennis racket. Also, little Roger was involved in football and golf. And tennis happened only because the game went very easily with the boy. Roger could well have become a professional footballer, but, fortunately for millions of his fans, at age 12 he made the right choice, choosing tennis.

Interestingly, Roger liked best of all to hit the ball – so that he flew as low as possible above the net. As a result, many balls, of course, simply did not fly to the opposite half of the court. Then his coach, Sven Gruneweld, went to a little trick: he began to pull the net a little higher – and, thus, taught his ward to deliver accurate punches. Specialists first spoke about Federer in 1996, after a series of brilliant victories in junior tournaments. Everyone noted his ability to move perfectly on the court and a powerful blow.

The first major successes at the junior level came to Federer after 2 years, in 1998. This year, Roger won Continue reading

Martina Navratilova. Life and novels of the first racket of the world

Martina Navratilova has such a long list of lovers that any man will envy. According to unofficial data, about a hundred women were in her bed. They say that even Madonna herself happened to be there.

Navratilova became the first tennis player who did not hide her non-traditional orientation. Internet users say that her appearance is more like a man’s, and some even suggest that Martina may be a transgender.

Not one tennis player said that after the match they relieve fatigue right in the locker room, but among the athletes who prefer same-sex relationships, Navratilova rightfully takes first place.

History of success
While Martina’s parents tried to arrange their personal life, the girl was given to her grandmother for education. The latter before the outbreak of World War II was on the list of the strongest tennis players of Czechoslovakia, occupying the fifth place there. When her beloved granddaughter was four years old, Agness Semanska gave her the first racket and recorded in the section. Continue reading

Chris Evert – a symbol of the era

A tennis bracelet is a classic piece of jewelry. Usually they are made of white gold or platinum and encrusted with even, identical diamonds. The bracelet fits tightly on the wrist and holds well on the hand, therefore it is popular among athletes.

The name of the decoration was given by the American Chris Evert. Before the US Open-1987, they were called differently, but then Evert asked the referee to stop the match because her bracelet was unfastened and was lost during the rally. In a conversation with the referee and the subsequent discussion, she christened him a “tennis bracelet”. The designation is fixed.

Another, more specialized, element of Evert’s legacy is the hashtag #shitchrissiesays (the nonsense Chrissy bears) that scattered in the early 2010s. The American then just started commenting and was famous for poor preparation for reports and opinions that were based on facts from parallel realities. Among the main memes: the backhand is the best blow of Stosur, Svitolina is the power tennis player of the Mugurusi plan, and Bouchard will crush Kvitova Continue reading
